Dwar Privacy Policy

Dwar is an iPhone app that keeps the apps you choose behind Apple Screen Time until a target you set is met — steps, workout minutes, or a WHOOP recovery, strain, sleep or calories reading — inside hours you choose. This policy says what Dwar reads, where it goes, and how to delete it.
The short version
- Dwar has no account and no server. Nothing you do in Dwar is sent to its developer.
- Your gates, the apps you chose and your readings stay on your iPhone.
- Dwar has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
What Dwar reads, and where it is kept
The apps you choose. iOS’s Screen Time picker gives Dwar an opaque token for each app or category you pick; Dwar never learns their names. The tokens stay on your iPhone, shared only with Dwar’s own extensions — the parts of Dwar that apply and lift shields while the app is closed.
Apple Health, if you turn it on. With your permission, Dwar reads today’s step count and workout minutes, on your iPhone, to check them against your targets. This data is never sent off your phone, never used for advertising or marketing, and never shared with anyone.
WHOOP, if you connect it. You sign in on WHOOP’s own page and approve access to your cycles, recovery and sleep. Dwar then fetches today’s readings straight from WHOOP to your iPhone. Your WHOOP sign-in is kept in the iOS keychain. The most recent reading is kept on your phone so Dwar can decide while it is closed. WHOOP’s own privacy policy covers the data WHOOP holds.

Strict mode, if you use it. A four-digit code, kept in the iOS keychain.
What leaves your phone
- Requests to WHOOP, only if you connect it: signing in, and fetching your readings from WHOOP’s API.
- One code, only if you use strict mode. To get the code to a friend without leaving it in a chat history, Dwar sends the four digits — and nothing else — to Onetime Secret (onetimesecret.com), which returns a link that shows the code once and expires after seven days. No gate, reading or detail about you goes with it.
Nothing is ever sent to Dwar’s developer.
This website
dwar.digital sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies’ servers. Cloudflare, which hosts it, handles the requests your browser makes to show you the pages. The invite and support links open your own email app, and what you write reaches Dwar’s developer only if you send it.
Deleting your data
- Everything at once: in Dwar, open You and choose Erase everything (turn strict mode off first). It removes every gate, releases every shield, and deletes your readings, the strict-mode code and your WHOOP sign-in.
- WHOOP only: on You, disconnect WHOOP. You can also remove Dwar’s access from your WHOOP account.
- Apple Health: Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Dwar.
- Screen Time: Settings › Screen Time › Apps with Screen Time Access.
- Deleting Dwar removes its data from your phone. iOS can keep keychain items after an app is deleted, so disconnect WHOOP first to be sure your WHOOP sign-in goes too.
Children
Dwar is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If Dwar changes what it reads or sends, this page changes first, with a new effective date.
